Turning a simple idea into a profitable digital product that solves real problems for real people
Origin
It began as a quick sketch during a coffee break — just a concept for a template I couldn’t find anywhere online. I didn’t know if others would need it, but I saved the file anyway. Weeks later, I saw multiple designers struggling with the same problem I had solved in minutes. That’s when I realized: small ideas can fill big gaps. Keeping a habit of noting these sparks made all the difference.
Challenges
The hardest part wasn’t building the product — it was believing in it enough to release it. Doubts crept in: Is it too basic? Will anyone buy it? I learned that perfection is the enemy of launch. Early feedback from a small audience was eye-opening; what I thought was “too simple” turned out to be exactly what they needed.
Growth
That first launch taught me that digital products don’t have to be massive to be valuable. Now, every time I see a problem in my own workflow, I ask: could this help someone else? Many of my best-selling items began as personal tools I didn’t intend to share.
